Linux Vs Windows 2008
Porting C + + code to Visual Studio?
I have a C + + project written for the Linux platform – the project is large enough and has plenty of. H. Cpp. I need to port this way it can run on a Windows Mobile 6.1. So I installed Visual Studio 2008 (free trial), DTS, and images of the emulator. Now I am a bit confused what to do next. In VS do I go to File -> New -> Project from existing code. ? After what should I do? Let's say I am a file (Written for Linux platform). Basically how do I start the porting process?
You can try to project from existing code, but this might make file or something similar. In fact, I think is to add existing project. It may be preferable to choose a new draft of the correct type and name accordingly. Then copy all your existing source files the directory is. You can then add these files in the project using Project | Add | Existing Item. If you drag and drop files onto the project in the Solution Explorer window that do the same thing. You have to modify the main (or equivalent) that gives you your code to contain VS. Hope that helps.
