Windows Server 2008 R2?
I just installed Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64) that I received from Microsoft DreamSpark. I had the themes Windows 7 Aero to make it look like Windows 7 but I want to be able to play 7 games such as Chess Titans Windows, Solitaire, Mahjong, etc. Is there a way to make this work or if I'm ripping my games Windows Vista Ultimate that I'm dual-booting with this? Thank you in advance! My reason being because I want to use the server for both purposes, as a client and a server. The server part is for me to learn how to run through a field to host a user account and connect from a remote computer to know the area website.org with a user name and a Web Site password password, something like that. For two features that would make the ultimate OS for me.
Sorry, I know that this is not the answer you are looking for but why convert a server in a client? It is really unnecessary. =================== Ok, makes sense, I suppose. I do not have media on hand, but did you check to see if they are listed in the Windows components not installed by default? Other thing, most games are trivial and you may be able to just copy the EXE to your server from a client installation. You may need to look for a tool like Depends.exe to see what libraries they rely on that may not be in the server.
