Question about Linux for the PS3?
I have Yellow Dog 6.1, and I am looking for additional services for the PS3. Im looking a more practical use, such as emulators and the Internet. …………. MAIN QUESTION ………. Are there user-friendly guides that covers YD for the PS3? I have two years experience with Windows back, is it similar to this? ……………………………………….. ………………………………………….. .. …………………… ……………….. The best thing to do with Linux on the PS3, as you have pointed out, running Linux applications like emulators, games, and others. I first tried putting Ubuntu on my PS3 but that was a huge failure. Ultimately I found that Fedora had the best support, programs, and ease of use on the PS3. Yellow Dog is similar to Fedora (both forks of Red Hat Linux), but the best support for Yellow Dog is directly (or on the forum that you have found). It a shame that some of the best games for Linux do not work on PPC architecture (namely the PS3) as Tremulous. This may change over time if.
